All food is freshly prepared onsite, we are nut free and cater for all dietary, intolerances and allergy needs.
We provide a well-balanced and nutritious menu which is prepared by our trained chef who holds a Level 2 Food Safety training.
Children are offered a mid-morning snack of fresh fruit and milk to drink, and two-course lunch to fuel their busy and fun-packed day! If you have a preference for providing your own packed lunches please let us know. We will work with you to ensure foods provided are correctly prepared and can be correctly stored.
Breakfast and tea are also offered, depending on your needs. We cater for all dietary and allergy requirements and will adapt our menu with you during the settling in process to accommodate these needs. The children have access to and are offered water to drink throughout the day.
We follow guidance from the Government's published Early Years Foundation Stage nutrition guidance.
During all snack and meal times there is always a member of our team with paediatric first aid training present.
We have procedures in place to minimise the risk of children obtaining allergen foods.
Create several versions of the menu to account for all dietary, allergies, intolerance needs and religious beliefs. Our menus will have vegetarian, vegan and diary fee options as needed to provide for the children in our care.
We complete a health care plan with parents for children with dietary or medical requirements. This is shared with all staff to ensure they are fully informed.
If a child did have a severe allergy, we would ask parents to provide medication e.g. EpiPen if prescribed.
We have the expertise in caring for children with serious food allergies so our nursery is nut and peanut free.

During the early settling in sessions our team will go through menus with parents/carers to ensure everyone is satisfied to ensure preferences and additional requirements where possible are catered for.

All birthday cakes are strictly required to be nut free to keep our nursery safe and nut free at all times.
